Meet Author & Motivational Speaker AuJahnae Coady
What’s a quote that fuels your passion?
Maya Angelou once said, “There’s no greater agony than bearing an untold story.”
“ If you don’t tell your own story someone else most likely will and it probably won’t be correct. So, make sure that when you are writing your story you don’t let anyone else hold the pen. And remember when times get tough, it’s just a page or chapter and not your ending.”
AuJahnae, your Humble Takeover is your story. Tell the family where you started and how you got to where you are today.
“I’m just another young woman who decided to turn her pain into her purpose and THRIVE. I wear many hats on this current journey including Author, Motivational Speaker, Women Empowerment Coach, Healing Empowerment Coach, and Mentor. I have a podcast show available on all platforms called ‘Soul Writing Speaks’.
“I’ve been writing since a little girl, but my writing restarted in 2017. I experienced a traumatic loss in 2019 which led me to grieve. I desired healing and turned back to writing even more. I exposed some of my work via social media one day and was overwhelmed with positive feedback and support. This led me to write and publish my very first book. After the thrill of that, I was like “hmm, what’s next?” I knew my passion for writing and the way I articulate words was deep, but I wasn’t aware of the gift I was being selfish with until I let my guard down and shared my work. Eventually, one thing led to another, from writing and publishing more books, to becoming a motivational speaker, and creating a podcast show for listeners to hear even more of my voice.”
Which chapter in your story inspired your current venture?
“The traumatic loss of my brother in 2019 is the start of it all. If I didn’t lose him, I probably would have been still hiding so much inside of the many journals I own. This current journey is bigger than just losing him, it’s about helping heal the community one small step at a time. The things I have done and things that are in the works keep me going. My inspiration and motivation is my brother. To know I have a loving angel smiling down watching me flourish and succeed keeps me going daily. I can’t give up if I try because the signs he sends won’t let me.”
What keeps you Humble through your success and failure in Life?
“The thing that keeps me humble is knowing the fact that the purpose is bigger than me. My faith, drive and dedication keep me grounded with God on this journey outweighing pride and validation. What I do isn’t for a blue check or being famous, it’s about leaving this world knowing I made a huge positive impact that people won’t forget. I appreciate the wins as well as the losses because I have both. I’ve had days where I sell out of my products, and I’ve had days where I haven’t sold anything. I express gratitude for both days. It’s a lesson in everything we do, but only if we learn the lesson and do differently for different results and better outcomes. Two years into the game and I appreciate it all because I’ve done so much in just 2 years but I have a long way to go and a lot of work to do.”
What advice would you offer our family who is writing their own story?
“To anyone who may be writing their story, take your time! Only YOU hold the pen to your story. What is your why? Your bigger picture? Your Motivation? There is a testimony inside of every one of us waiting to be released to help someone else out. Find your purpose and walk in it confidently knowing that you are not alone on your journey. You may be in a dark place right now, but the light will come, you just have to find it. Stop counting those hardships and start making them count. Don’t allow your past to make you surrender your future. Own your story!”
Do you have any upcoming events or projects you would like to share?
“You can check out more info on my social media accounts. Be on the lookout for new book releases very soon, as well as other very exciting news.”
We’d love to hear more stories, please suggest other persons writing their own story and Conquering the World.
